22nd September 2008: LVPECL telecomms oscillator ensures high data integrity at fast transfer rates

Electronica, Munich, 11-14 November 2008: Hall B6, Stand 264 - IQD Frequency Products unveils a quartz crystal oscillator with complementary LVPECL (low-voltage positive emitter coupled logic) output, designed for use in telecommunications exchange equipment and other high-speed data switching applications. The new CFPS-59 SPXO (simple packaged crystal oscillator) is available with output frequencies from 75HMz right up to 170MHz.
The CFPS-59 provides very short signal rise and fall times of just 0.7 ns (20% to 80%), helping to ensure high data integrity even at today's ever increasing data transfer rates. This figure compares with a typical rise/fall time for a low-cost HCMOS SPXO of perhaps 5 or 6 ns.
Specified for either industrial (-40° to +85°C) or general-purpose (-10° to +70°C) operating temperature range, the CFPS-59 offers frequency stabilities of 25, 50 or 100ppm. Devices are vibration qualified to Mil-Std-202F, making them suitable for use in industrial environments.
The CFPS-59 is housed in an industry standard six-pin 7 x 5mm SMD package and operates from a 2.5V supply. Tristate functionality is standard, and devices are available bulk packed or on tape and reel.
