New high performance clock oscillator range from IQD delivers ultra low jitter across wide frequency range

New high performance clock oscillator range from IQD delivers ultra low jitter across wide frequency rangeIQD has launched a new range of very high performance clock oscillators delivering ultra-low RMS phase jitter for high speed serial data applications in telecom, networking and communication equipment. The range consists of three models, IQXO-940, IQXO-942 and IQXO-944 covering a very wide frequency range from 1.0MHz up to 1.5GHz. Phase jitter performance is down to between 0.9ps and 0.05ps rms max depending upon the selected frequency and specification.

The new models are available in a choice of two ceramic 6-pad hermetically sealed packages 7.0 x 5.0mm and 5.0 x 3.2mm with different height options down to 1.5mm. Designed primarily for applications such as Ethernet (10G/40G/100G), DSL/ASDL, PCI Express, Serial Rapid I/O (SIRO), Wi-Fi, and WiMAX/W-LAN, three output options can be specified, CMOS, LVPECL and LVDS.

These new oscillators can operate at either 2.5V or 3.3V and if required an enable or disable output can be specified. Operating over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C, all inclusive frequency stabilities down to ±10ppm over a period of 10 years can be specified.
