Why do we need to calculate Load Capacitance?

Electronics engineers calculate load capacitance to ensure optimal circuit performance. It affects signal integrity, timing, and power consumption, especially in high-frequency applications like oscillators. If incorrectly estimated, it can cause signal distortion, reduced efficiency, or malfunction. In oscillator circuits, precise load capacitance ensures stable frequency operation. What you need:
  1. Load capacitance (CL) value from the manufacturer's datasheet.
  2. Estimated (or measured) stray capacitance on the PCB. (Typ 2-5pF)
