VCXOs

Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillators

VCXOs or Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillators allow for fine-tuning of the output frequency by varying the control voltage and are normally used in conjunction with a phase locked loop (PLL). Frequency adjustments are possible down to the parts per million (ppm) level. VCXOs offer design engineers the ability to generate more stable output frequencies whilst ensuring the application signal remains intact.

IQD’s VCXO models are available with a wide range of different ‘pulling' (sometimes referred to as 'VCXO tuning range') and outputs options available such as CMOS, HCMOS, Sinewave, LVDS, LVPECL and differential Sinewave. We also offer VCXOs in tight stabilities and superior phase noise and jitter categories, and customisable designs can be considered for specific applications.

VCXOs are extensively used in telecommunications and find applications in various testing and broadcast equipment.
