New range of ultra miniature low phase noise VCXOs launched by IQD at Electronica 2016

IQD’s new IQXV-93 series Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) delivers ultra low phase noise of 131dBc/Hz at 100kHz and RMS phase jitter as low as 0.9ps (12kHz to 20MHz) in a 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.0mm industry standard 6-pad ceramic hermetically sealed package.
Available over a very wide frequency range from 8MHz to 1.5GHz, the new model is ideal for applications such as 10G & 40G Ethernet, Fibre networking, SDH/SONET, WiMax and WLAN. Two supply voltages are available, 2.5 and 3.3V, with a stability down to ±10ppm over an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C.
The frequency can be adjusted externally by the application of a control voltage (1.65V nominal) which can pull the output frequency by a minimum APR of ±35ppm. This allows for absolute frequency adjustment and a correction for crystal ageing. There is also an enable/disable option on pin 2 which allows the VCXO to be switched off by using simple logic control. Full data sheets are available on IQD’s website at www.iqdfrequencyproducts.com
