IQD’s Christmas Donation to Crewkerne Transport Charity

Christmas is traditionally the season for giving, and at IQD, it’s no different. This week IQD Frequency Products Limited made a donation to local transport charity Crewkerne Voluntary Transport. Colin Smith, Operations Director (centre), took the time to see how the team would put the donation to use and met with the drivers who give their own time.
“We’re delighted to support a local charity making such a valuable contribution to the mobility and wellbeing of people in Crewkerne. In the current climate IQD are pleased to be able to support this service within our own community.”
Run entirely by volunteers, CVT operates a minibus service, fully equipped for disabled passengers, around Crewkerne and surrounding villages for individuals, clubs or organisations who may not have transport of their own. It’s especially helpful to schools and care homes to enable trips out, and offers a regular bus on a Tuesday to and from the Henhayes Centre in town.
The service is not free but CVT charges only nominally and IQD’s funding will help to top up fares, contribute towards rising fuel costs and go towards vehicle tax and insurance helping to ensure the longevity of the service.
